How To Make Your Wedding Signage Sustainable

Hey lovebirds! Vicky from Inviting Writing here, and today we're diving into a topic that's close to my heart – making your wedding signage as sustainable as possible! We all dream of that perfect day, but let's not forget about the impact it can have on our beautiful planet. So, how can you make your wedding signage eco-friendly without compromising on style? Let's chat about some fabulous ideas.

First up, let's talk mirrors. I'm a big fan of mirrors – they add a touch of elegance to any event. Now, imagine this: clean and reuse. Yep, that's right, it’s as simple as that! I encourage couples to use their own mirrors or, for a touch of glam without the commitment, suggest renting one from me. The idea is to reduce waste and give that mirror a second life, either in your  own home or passed on to the next love-struck pair. Psst, if you're curious about mirrors and their magical sustainability, check out my recent blog on it.

Next on the list – wood and chalkboard signs. These are classic and versatile, but the best part? They're like the chameleons of wedding signage. A quick repaint, and they're ready for another celebration! Whether it's the same couple renewing their vows or a friend borrowing it for their big day, these signs have the potential for multiple love stories. It's like giving your wedding signage its own romantic novel series!

Now, let's talk fabric or printed signs. Think of these as pieces of art that tell your unique love story. Instead of treating them as one-time-use items, consider them as forever keepsakes. For example, have your favourite quote elegantly printed and add your names at the bottom – a welcome sign that doubles as a timeless piece of artwork. It started with a kiss, and now you have a beautiful memento hanging in your home.

And here's the exciting part! Inviting Writing is all about creating sustainable and beautiful wedding stationery, and I’m proud to be part of the Sustainable Wedding Alliance. Check out our on-the-day stationery and wedding signage options here.

Mirror, mirror on the wall, which signage option is the fairest of them all? The one that reduces waste and adds a sprinkle of eco-friendly magic to your special day!
