Hi, I’m Vicky, the calligrapher and creative behind Inviting Writing.

After a career in hospitality and events, I followed my passion for the handwritten word and have spent over eight years refining my craft in modern calligraphy and hand lettering. I have been a full time calligrapher since 2021 and also serve as the East Midlands Ambassador for The Modern Calligraphy Co., teaching workshops both online and in person. Sharing the joy of lettering is one of the most rewarding parts of my work.

I am honoured to be The Wedding Industry Awards 2025 and 2026 Winner for Best Stationer in the East Midlands, and in 2026 I was awarded Highly Commended nationally for Wedding Stationer of the Year. These accolades reflect the care, artistry, and attention to detail I bring to every project.

Sustainability is woven into my practice. From recyclable and responsibly sourced materials to reusable hire signage and hand painted finishes instead of single use vinyl, every element is crafted with longevity and responsibility in mind. I believe that elegance and sustainability can coexist beautifully.

Outside of my studio, I’m a wife to Joe and a proud dog mum to our two mischievous Jack Russells, Eddie and Derek. We live in Melton Mowbray, where you’ll often find me with a cup of tea, surrounded by ink pots, paper swatches, and a snoozing dog (or two) at my feet. We love to explore and are slowly ticking off destinations on our ever-growing wishlist!
