About the Event
This course will run weekly from Monday 17th April to Monday 22nd May. Please note there will be no session on Bank Holiday Monday (1st May).

Having fallen in love with calligraphy after handwriting all her own wedding stationery, Vicky went on to develop her skills and now leads regular workshops for us.
Vicky has an eclectic style and loves to switch up styles, whether it's highly polished or whimsical.
Learn to create eye-catching lettering designs for chalkboards, whether it is for a bar, restaurant or wedding. In this five-week course, discover how to adapt your lettering to form designs, add decorative elements, and scale-up designs.
Striking Chalkboards are a fun way to get any message across. By understanding the structure of lettering, and how to combine different sizes and styles together, you will be able to create attractive and cohesive designs. You will be guided through adding shadows, volume, colour, flourishes, banners and illustrations as well as different font styles. To get the most from your design, including table plan layouts and menus, you will learn how to scale up a design and avoid any pitfalls.
In the final session of the course, you will apply everything you have learned to a project and receive lots of guidance from your tutor throughout.
This course is suitable for all, whether you are just starting out or looking to find new ideas and inspiration.
Every session of this course will be recorded, so if you miss a week for any reason you will able to watch the recording to catch up!
WORKSHOP KIT
If you choose the ticket that includes the kit, it will be posted out the week prior to the first workshop. Your kit will include worksheets, Posca 3M White, Posca 5M White, Red Posca 5m, Chalkboard, White and coloured chalk and 6 Sheets of Black A4 Card.
In addition, you will need to provide the following...
Masking tape or washi tape
Ruler
L Rule if you have one
A3 MDF Board
Blackboard paint
Small Paint Roller
A cloth (microfibre if possible)
Calculator
NO KIT OPTION
This ticket option does NOT include a kit. Worksheets and templates will be emailed. Please ensure that you have selected the right option.
You will need an A4 chalkboard, Chalkboard pens (Posca 3m and 5m white,5m red), coloured and white chalk, 10 sheets of A4 black card and a white stabillo pencil. You will also need Masking tape or washi tape, Ruler, L Rule if you have one, A3 MDF Board, Blackboard paint, Small Paint Roller, A cloth (microfibre if possible) and a Calculator.
Payment Option

Included within this ticket price is postage to the UK mainland only, no Islands or Highlands. For other UK and international locations, please email Nadine at enquiries@themoderncalligraphyco.com with your name, address, and the workshop/course title and date you would like to attend and she will be able to let you know the additional postage charge and eta for your kit via Royal Mail.
PLEASE NOTE Once your kit has been posted, workshop tickets are not refundable. This does not affect your statutory rights.
